Cancer diagnosis

Detecting cancer early is crucial for individuals in order to avail themselves of the best treatment options. This is because it is more difficult for a medical professional to treat a cancer which has metastasised to a different site in the body. Common ways to medically diagnose a cancer include: Visual exam/palpation, investigating family history, blood testing, biopsy, imaging methods (including ultrasound, x-rays, CT scan, MRI scan, PET scan, and x-ray barium enema).
