Very good course, I used this to have an insight of nutrition for footballers, I have found this very hard at times, but stayed with it and got there, I am happy I can call myself a Sport Exercise and nutrition adviser. Very happy to have passed. Enjoyed every minute.

The basic foundations were useful to set the scene but it really felt like you were being educated when it came to the course content that was not just information you read in any health or fitness article. I didn’t really know what to expect. I completed the course for personal education and although I don’t think I feel qualified to act as an adviser and would like to take additional courses to again better my knowledge from a professional perspective but I feel confident to make the right choices for myself and develop my personal nutritional and fitness goals. I enjoyed the fact that all the materials were easy to download and print as I find it easier to study by ready from paper rather than a screen but having all the materials there all the time when you needed them online was useful especially if you wanted to check something quickly. I also enjoyed the additional resources as I’m alw ays interested in finding out more.

It was easy to dip in and out of as time allowed

A well worth course to do.
It has helped tremendously with my nutrition course by expanding my understanding and knowledge of all supplements. The most interesting module of all was module 7 covering Phytochemicals. The recommended additional reading material has also been extremely welcoming for “in depth” knowledge. It has been an extremely well devised course and to have lifetime access, including any future upgrades is a great bonus.

This is probably the most enjoyable nutritional health course I’ve ever studied.
This is probably the most enjoyable nutritional health course I’ve ever studied. Clear information, easy to understand and well thought out. So not only do you gain a wealth of knowledge and skills, it’s a virtual business in a box, all forms and step-by-step information on how to carry out all consultations, you just have to provide the clients!

The course was very informative; I have already used the information gleaned from the course to aid friends & family who although are regular trainers / gym goers were not making the physical gains / changes due to there poor nutrition. The set out of the modules & the requirement to attain a pass of 80% before you could move on to next study package guaranteed that you had to have reached a level of understanding / knowledge – certainly a motivating factor.

I can now confidently advise others.
Learning how to create an in-depth and detailed diet plan for others and myself has allowed me to tailor plans for my own specific exercise goals, making me fitter than I was before. Also, the GI index has helped give a fuller understanding of what effect different foods have on blood glucose levels and how this plays an important part in recovery. The materials provided made it easy to put into practice what I was learning and the course is designed for the to be used straight away. I really appreciated receiving tips and suggestions via email as this kept me motivated to complete the course and spurred my interest. I think also that the downloadable reference materials gave a deeper insight into the science behind some of the principle ideas taught.

Markedly improved my health conditions
Recently, I have had some problems with joint pain and another health condition, after some research, I discovered several supplements which have markedly improved these conditions thus, negating a visit to my GP. Although I did the course remarkably quickly, my previous legal studies taught me how to retain voluminous information, in order to pass exams. Usefully, I can now enjoy re-reading the course and some research materials with a greater understanding and as a back up to this subject. I don’t intend to set up my own practice in this field.

Can help support the body and correct deficiencies
As I am currently shadowing a PhD to do with prebiotic supplementation and its potential effects on (exercise-induced) asthma I found the probiotic units very interesting. In terms of bettering my health I feel I am more knowledgeable about how supplementation can help support the body and correct deficiencies. Overall I felt the course was very informative, and the sciency parts were broken down well. Very pleased with course content and user friendly. Although I found the course very challenging (which is a good thing as I have never had experience delving into this topic area) I have also found it very rewarding and would recommend to anyone interested in furthering their knowledge about their health.

Fully intend to apply these to my own training
My favourite lessons involved the calculations of protein and carbohydrate for different athletes/clients. I fully intend to apply these to my own training progamme and hope it will benefit me in future job applications. From a personal perspective a case study using a boxer as an example, weighing up the pros and cons of and to what extent their reduction in calorific intake may have reduced their performance. I found the information relating to dehydration extremely relevant and useful.

I have found the course fascinating
I enjoyed learning about the effect of deficiencies in people and how things can be found naturally and the levels they are found. I was surprised to find out how high the requirements of vitamins and minerals are needed for normal function and how low some amounts are in food. I have found the course fascinating and very enjoyable and am looking forward to putting it into practice.

I have decided to do this course, so I can make informed decisions regarding supplements and advise my family and friends. There is so much information available nowadays, and it is difficult to decide which one to follow without thorough understanding of the subject. I wanted to be able to make wise decisions on which supplements to choose and in what dosage for my children and for us. I found that the course covered all areas that I was interested in.
