Cancer treatment

Often, multiple cancer treatments are used together rather than one at a time. The combination of treatments often increases the chances of success and reduces the chance of resistance to any single type of treatment. There are three conventional types of treatments for cancer: surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. However other methods are used (such as antibodies, growth inhibitors, anti-angiogenesis inhibitors and so on) and new methologies are continually being investigated, especially more targeted and personalised treatment based on specific genetic or epigenetic changes.
