Childhood obesity

Obesity is defined as a level of body fat that is harmful to health. Obesity is actually considered a medical condition, and is connected to metabolic syndrome.
Childhood obesity is a strong indicator of adult obesity and likely to cause health issues in later life. Moreover, an overweight child is more prone to experience low self-esteem, depression, and an unhealthy relationship with food. One study found that if a child is overweight at the age of 13, they are twice as likely to be an obese adult!
