Digestive system

The digestive system contains both the alimentary canal (the channel food passes through, also called the gastrointestinal tract) and also accessory organs which aid the digestive process. The main alimentary organs are the mouth, pharynx, oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectum, and anus. The accessory organs include the salivary glands, liver, gall bladder, and pancreas.
