Mindset

A mindset is a mental attitude that people have that influences their behaviours. It includes a set of assumptions, methods, or notions which people have. In general, people tend to talk about a “fixed” or a “growth” mindset. A fixed mindset is the belief that certain aspects of the self cannot be changed. On the other hand, a growth mindset is the belief that we have the ability to learn and adapt and that our brains are malleable. However, most of us fall somewhere in between these extremes, may have a fixed mindset in one area and a growth mindset in another area, or move between mindsets under different circumstances.
