Naps

A nap is considered a brief period of sleep, generally during the day, as an addition to the usual sleep period. Short “power” naps (of 10 to 15 mins) may provide an immediate boost in productivity for between 1 and 3 hours, which then fades. A slightly longer nap of 30 to 45 minutes, may lead to decreased performance for an hour or so after wakening but then following this time they may be improvement in energy levels and cognition.
